What Does It Mean To Be Loyal?

LOYALTY ... What does it mean to be LOYAL? Seems like a lot of people have the word misconstrued and it really is the hype of a generation full of LOYAL tattoos. The meaning of loyalty hasn't really been carried out and many people are being disloyal and not even aware. Being loyal doesn't mean being a fool. Hearing people say they will ride or die with someone, makes absolutely no sense when you are riding a ride to HELL. That's not being loyal or real, that's being stupid.

Being true to yourself is more loyal than being true to someone else. You can't make someone be real with you and loyal to you when they fail so many times at treating people how they would like to be treated. I find it funny that I've cheated myself loyalty expecting it to be given back in return too many times. I always thought that being honest, real, upfront, and genuine; over shadows anything negative that someone would possibly feel about me, but I was wrong. People tend to seek out the negative and no matter how many positive things you've done, they always acknowledge the bad things first.
