How often is it that you stumble upon things you've kept for years and haven't worn since the year you bought it? Lol, today I decided to clean out my closet and never realized how many shoes and clothes I have, but never wear. Anytime I have a outing to attend I rush to the store to buy new items when I don't need them.
When we are blessed with shoes on our feet and clothes on our back we should be willing to give them up when they are not needed. I know there were plenty of times when my mom could not afford new school shoes for me and I often got upset. Never realizing that what I did have was just enough. Now that I'm blessed to have much more, it's only right that I give back. For we serve a giving and loving God ... and I'm destined to be just like him.
Yes, I clean out my closet almost every season. At least twice a year. I'm donating my clothes to The Kidney Foundation this month. I have my scheduled pick up date and everything. Cute shoes too
ReplyDeleteHey Candace. Thanks for stopping by. The kidney foundation actually picks up the items for you? If so, that's an awesome idea. The dreadful part of cleaning out the closet is having to haul the items to the goodwill or Salvation Army. Are you located in Atlanta?
