Thought Of the Day
Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't...Bishop Dale C. Bronner
Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Don't Have an Exaggerated Opinion of Yourself
The Bible repeatedly warns us against pride. And I cannot emphasize enough the danger of pride. See, when we give in to pride, we give the enemy a place of great influence over us.
When we think too highly of ourselves, it causes us to value others less, forget to trust God, and ignore the truth that we're really nothing without God.
This type of attitude or thinking is detestable to the Lord. We must have a holy fear of pride and remember that we're special and valuable because God loves us and has forgiven us, not because we can accomplish great things on our own.
It's important to understand that whenever we excel in any area, it is only because God has given us the gift of grace to do it. The moment we think we've accomplished great things in our own strength, we're getting in to pride.
Remember, we belong to God. Instead of having exaggerated opinions of ourselves, let's focus on God's greatness and His love for us. It's by His grace alone that we can succeed in doing whatever He's calling us to do.
Prayer Starter: Lord, only through You am I worth anything and able to accomplish anything. I release any pride I may be holding on to, knowing that when I succeed and excel, it's because of Your grace and goodness.

Dealing with Life and Death
Death is never easy ... Some say it comes to soon and it's never on time. Well I'm starting to wonder what time should it be? We say life is short and you only live once, but how did we ever find out how long life would be? We know that God sits high and looks down low, never making mistakes and calling orders in his will and in his way.
We were never in control and we never will be. He calls upon his angels to return home because their life on earth has been fulfilled. He created each of us with a purpose. To live life in accordance to the way he lived. To love our neighbors, to love our family, to love or friends, and even to love our enemies. Life on earth is never promised to any of us, and honestly I think life on earth will never compare or amount to life in HEAVEN. Lets rejoice that the gates of heavens way have opened up for a handsome, loving soul. Rest on Javarex "Coot" Moore ... You now have everlasting life with our almighty father. We all will meet again.

Thought Of The Day
I woke up to this message that was emailed to me this morning and decided to share it with my followers. Last night was tough hearing of the passing of a family friend. I pray that God be with his family, friends, and anyone that knew him. I also pray for the family of the young man that was also in the car accident. May God have full control and allow speedy recovery. Death is never easy, but it's something that we all have to deal with in life. Let your family and friends know that you love them while they are still here. R.I.P Javarex "Coot" Moore, you will truly be missed.
Thought Of The Day ...
Your life is a treasure and you are so much more than you realize! Refuse to throw your life away amid a season of frustration and disappointment! Seasons change! Pain and discomfort only last for a season. So don't lose the perspective of the NEXT season while you are in the CURRENT season! The CURRENT season is only preparing and strengthening you for the NEXT season! Remember, weeping may endure for a night...but joy comes in the morning! -Bishop Dale C. Bronner

Learn to Say "It's None of My Business."
Thousands of things we encounter every day are neither right nor wrong but are simply personal choices, choices that people have a right to make on their own without outside interference.
The devil stays very busy assigning demons to place judgmental, critical thoughts in people's minds. I can remember when it was entertaining for me to sit in the park or the shopping mall and simply watch all the people go by as I formed a mental opinion of each of them, their clothing, hairstyles, companions and so on.
But the Bible says that it's wrong to judge people this way. We cannot always prevent ourselves from having opinions, and there's nothing wrong with that, but the moment we think there's something wrong with other people because they don't share our personal preferences, we have a problem with judging others. In these situations, I tell myself, "Joyce, it's none of your business."
Don't let harmful judgments grow in you. Instead, realize that God made everyone different and it's ok for people to think differently. And when necessary, tell yourself, "This is none of my business."
Prayer Starter: God, I don't want to judge or criticize others. When I encounter people who have different opinions and personal preferences than me, please help me to see them through Your eyes and remember that my opinions aren't more important than theirs.

Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Boldly Approach the Throne
God wants us to get in the habit of running to Him for grace (supernatural inner strength). He wants us to rely solely on Him.
But the enemy tries to lie to us, telling us that we're not good enough to be in God's presence. Satan tries to convince us that we've made too many mistakes for God to want to have anything to do with us.
But that's not what God's Word says. His Word says that as His redeemed and forgiven children, we can boldly approach His throne. You need to receive this truth today and make the choice to live by it.
Instead of saying, "I don't feel like God loves me," "I don't feel like I'm forgiven" or "I don't feel like I have a future," say, "God loves me, and nothing can separate me from His love. He has forgiven me and I can approach Him right now with confidence that He accepts me."
Every time you feel unworthy, remember what the Word of God says, and then boldly go to your heavenly Father. He is waiting eagerly to receive you.
Prayer Starter: God, I boldly come to You because Your Word says that I am forgiven and that I can always come to You. Thank You for Your forgiveness for my failures and Your grace that helps me in every time of need.

Cleaning Out My Closet
How often is it that you stumble upon things you've kept for years and haven't worn since the year you bought it? Lol, today I decided to clean out my closet and never realized how many shoes and clothes I have, but never wear. Anytime I have a outing to attend I rush to the store to buy new items when I don't need them.
When we are blessed with shoes on our feet and clothes on our back we should be willing to give them up when they are not needed. I know there were plenty of times when my mom could not afford new school shoes for me and I often got upset. Never realizing that what I did have was just enough. Now that I'm blessed to have much more, it's only right that I give back. For we serve a giving and loving God ... and I'm destined to be just like him.

Trusting God Through Emotional Trials
Growing into a mature Christian who follows the Holy Spirit is not something that happens overnight, it is a learning process that takes time. Little by little, one experience after another, God tries and tests our emotions, giving us opportunities to grow.
God allows us to go through difficult situations that stir up our emotions. In this way, you and I are able to see for ourselves how emotionally unstable we can be and how desperately we need His help.
Jesus exemplified this for us. The night before He died for our sins, He was in great emotional turmoil. He didn't want to die, but He moved past His emotions and prayed to God, "Not my will, but Yours be done." Things certainly didn't get better immediately, but in the end Jesus emerged victorious through the greatest trial possible.
You can make it through your emotional trials. Jesus wasn't led by His feelings, and you don't have to be either. When God lets things affect you emotionally, seize the moment and view it as an opportunity to step into a place of absolute trust in God.
Prayer Starter: Lord, I know that I can trust in You when emotional trials come my way. With Jesus as my example, I say, "Not my will, but Yours be done." You know what's best for me and I trust You completely.

Growing in Discernment
Jesus lived His life by discernment. His discernment was not based on the superficial senses of His flesh, it was the result of His intimate communion and relationship with His Father God.
This same gift of discernment is available to you and me through our relationship with God.
So how does it work? Before you do anything, you must quickly check with your spirit to see if the thing you are about to do is OK. If you have peace, then proceed. But if you are uncomfortable, confused or frustrated, remain still.
For instance, at times I've been at the mall getting ready to purchase something, but before I reached the checkout counter, I sensed a frustration in my spirit, which was like a nudge from the Holy Spirit not to make the purchase.
The exciting thing about moments like these is every time you and I choose to listen to and follow the Holy Spirit's promptings, our spirits grow stronger in God, and more and more of God's power is released in our lives to operate in the fruit of the Spirit.
Yield to the Holy Spirit and follow His promptings, and you will grow in the same discernment that Jesus walked in.
Prayer Starter: God, I don't want to make decisions based on my own fleshly desires. I want to walk in discernment. As I check with You when I'm making decisions, frustrate the desires I have that are not of You, and give me peace to follow Your way.

The Greater the Opposition, the Greater the Opportunity
Every time God puts a fresh new idea in our hearts or gives us a dream, vision or new challenge for our lives, the enemy will be there to oppose us.
God constantly calls us to new levels. Some seem big and important; others seem relatively small or insignificant. Whatever the case, when we reach a new level with God, we will face a new level of opposition from our enemy, the devil.
Along with opposition, however, comes opportunity, but God is always with us, and we have no need to fear. Some things may seem too great for us, but nothing is impossible with God. He is not surprised or frightened by anything, and with Him, we can accomplish any challenge set before us.
If you are determined to reach the new levels God is calling you to, then don't give up in the face of opposition. Instead, realize that the greater the opposition, the greater the opportunity in front of you. Be courageous, and draw boldness and courage from the Holy Spirit, for He is always with you.
Prayer Starter: God, don't let me falter in the face of opposition. I know that You have great plans for me and great opposition only means a greater opportunity. I trust You and I know that You can take me to new levels.

Making Tough Decisions
It's important to make the right choices, especially in the middle of hurt, discouragement, frustration and confusion when the right choice is the tough choice to make. When things are stressful, we naturally like to take the path of least resistance. But those are the very moments when you need to make the tougher choice. Because to reap right results in life, you have to do right when you don't feel like it.
What's amazing to me is that Jesus knows what we feel like. When He became a human being, He struggled with all of the frustrations we struggle with. He felt like giving up and taking the easy way, but He overcame and made the tough choices.
When we grow weary and falter in our determination, we can know with confidence that we serve a God who knows what we're going through. And we don't have to make tough decisions on our own.
When you find yourself stressed-out and beat down, on the verge of giving up, remember that God is with you and He understands. Find the strength to make the tough choices in Him.
Prayer Starter: God, I'm so glad and so thankful that You understand everything I go through and struggle with. When I am tempted to take the path of least resistance, I will find my strength in You to make the tough choices.

Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Don't Give in to Self-Pity
Self-pity is a destructive and negative emotion. It blinds us to our blessings and the possibilities before us and it steals our hope for both today and tomorrow. People who pity themselves think, "Why should I try to do anything? I'll just fail."
Self-pity is actually idolatry because it is self-focus carried to the extreme. When we allow ourselves to fall into self-pity, we are essentially rejecting God's love and His ability to change things.
I encourage you not to waste one more day of your life in self-pity. When you lose hope and begin to feel sorry for yourself, stop and say: 'I refuse to feel sorry for myself. I may be in a difficult season of life right now, but I will not stop hoping for better things!'
God has thoughts and plans for your good, to give you hope for your future. If you will hold on to your hope and fight for it when the enemy tries to take it away, you will see amazing things take place in your life.
Prayer Starter: God, I refuse to feel sorry for myself. Even if things are difficult right now, I know that You are bigger than my problems and that You have a good future planned for me. I want Your plans to come to pass in my life, and I trust in You to change my circumstances according to Your will.

Thought For The Day
Learn to adjust your lens in how you view things. Marcel Pagnol said, "The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be." But the truth of the matter is that the worst is over, God is good, and the best is yet to come! -Bishop Dale C. Bronner
Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Are You Hopeful?
When you think about the future, are you hopeful? Or do you struggle with a sense of dread?
People who have seen God's faithfulness in the past tend to be very hopeful about the future. They know a bad situation can turn into a wonderful testimony in a matter of minutes.
On the other hand, people who have lost all hope view life from the perspective of dread. A close cousin to fear, dread steals the ability to enjoy ordinary life and makes people anxious about the future.
Hope is the opposite of dread, and a close relative of faith. When we have faith in God, it leads to hope, and our outlook on life and the future is positive.
Hope allows us to leave our unanswered questions in God's hands; it empowers us to remain at peace, and it enables us to believe the best about the days to come.
You can have hope when you trust in God's love. He has the power to provide for you and lead you through every situation.
Prayer Starter: God, I choose to put my faith in You, knowing that it will turn into hope. I don't have to dread, because You have the ability to care for me, so I put my hope in You.

Thought Of The Day
What are the ingredients of a happy life? Some people add a little and some people add a lot. Too much of this or too much of that can be detrimental. It doesn't take much, for me ... adding God, Family, Friends, Love, and Faith is all I need.
Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Be Generous and Cheerful
As Christians, we should be generous people, giving whatever we can whenever we can. And that doesn't just mean money, we can give help, encouragement, time, talents and forgiveness.
This means we can't let selfishness get in the way. A lot of people are stingy, clinging to what they have and afraid to give it up. Others aren't stingy in their actions, but they are stingy in their hearts, giving because they feel obligated, not because they really want to.
But this isn't the way God calls us to give. Second Corinthians 9:7 tells us, "God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, 'prompt to do it') giver [whose heart is in his giving]."
If you think about it, when we give our lives to God, everything we have is His anyway, it no longer belongs to us. We should be givers, using our resources the way He wants us to.
Give cheerfully today. It pleases God, and those who give cheerfully are happy, fulfilled, and highly effective.
Prayer Starter: God, I make up my mind and purpose in my heart right now to be a cheerful giver. Show me how I can generously give to You and the people in my life today.

Saturday Blues
So, yesterday was a great day. I had the opportunity to see my family, and many of them I haven't seen since I was a child. The day was full of fun and laughter and just reminded me of what matters the most. We should always cherish the people that God gave us as family.
Here are some photos of my younger cousins, and I. Also, if I must add .. I really "beat" my face yesterday hunty! (Funky Dineva voice)

Do Your Best!
God is excellent. As His representatives, we should be too. So it's important that we do our best in everything that we put our hands to. We must be motivated to do our very best in whatever we set out to accomplish. Paul urges us to "learn to...prize what is excellent and of real value." As we make excellence a way of life, we will sense God's joy and be good examples to the world.
You must sow excellence in order to reap an excellent harvest. We can't expect excellent results in life when we don't live a life of excellence. The Bible teaches us to develop diligence, steadfastness and determination, all of which will help us live lives of excellence.
So I encourage you to do your best with any project or activity that God places in your path. Be diligent. Don't leave things undone, but finish what you start to the best of your ability. Set your mind to be steadfast and determined. Commit yourself to excellent results.
God honors an attitude of excellence. Choose to do your best, and He will always work alongside you.
Prayer Starter: God, I want to live a life of excellence. Strengthen me and help me to do my best in every situation with steadfastness, diligence and determination.

Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Discernment Is the Key to a Clear Conscience
It's critical to keep your conscience clear because nothing will keep you from enjoying life as much as guilt.
In Acts, Paul said that he pursued discipline and avoided worldly desires so that he could walk blameless and guilt-free before God. The same applies to us. Walking in the confidence of a clear conscience will keep us free and happy.
That sounds easy when it comes to clear-cut, right and wrong issues, but what about the 'gray' areas of life? How do we keep our conscience clear when we're unsure what the right or wrong choice is? What if we accidentally sin without realizing it? I've found that God's discernment solves this problem.
Discernment is spiritual understanding, and it's the key to living with a clear conscience. It takes practice, but it simply involves paying attention to your heart. God will let you know when you shouldn't do something that will bring guilt later on.
I encourage you to live in a way that will keep your conscience clear. Don't do things you know you shouldn't, and rely on God's discernment when you're facing an issue you're not sure about. He will never lead you wrong.
Prayer Starter: God, thank You for Your discernment. Help me to pay attention to Your still, small voice speaking to my heart so I can live in a way that will keep my conscience free and clear before You.

Thought Of The Day ...
Dedicate, Commit, be Patient! Three powerful words that I wanna live by. Often times we are either committed to doing something, but not patient. Just as well as we may be dedicated to doing something, but not fully committed.
I find myself constantly putting things off that I aspire to do ... Not because I don't want to do them, but because I prefer to give 50% or 75% instead if the whole 100%. Am I the only one that gets stuck in the cycle of doing "Just enough to get by"? This is a bad habit that I must break.
Now realizing that success doesn't come over night and in order to be successful in anything you have to be willing to commit, dedicate, and be patient. If it was easy to do, everyone would be doing it. Don't give up ... Keep striving for the best.

Wisdom Is Calling Out to You
Along the way on our journey through life, we will have to make many decisions, and we will always get into trouble if we make them emotionally or according to what we think or want.
God wants us to make wise decisions. I believe having wisdom is choosing to do now what we will be happy with later.
Proverbs says that wisdom is calling out to us. You must walk in God's wisdom and realize that the choices you make today will affect your tomorrow. So many people never enjoy life because they're always dealing with messes resulting from a lack of wisdom.
Don't do something selfish, gambling that things will turn out right. Wisdom does not gamble, it invests in the future. Wisdom doesn't settle for a cheap thrill. Instead, it follows God into a better tomorrow.
So what about you? Are you walking in wisdom today? If you're not, the good news is that wisdom is already calling out to you. God's ready and willing to provide you with His wisdom. Just ask Him for it and make the decisions that will invest in a godly future.
Prayer Starter: God, I want to enjoy life, not constantly clean up problems that result from a lack of wisdom. Thank You for providing Your wisdom for me. I choose to receive it and make godly decisions for my future.

Make Me Over ...
So, being that I've been late and absent from posting I decided to share some photos of work I did on my sister. If you follow me on Instagram (Carlanaomii) I'm sure you've seen them, but oh well, here they are ;)
I am not a professional; however I think I'm nice at what I do. Products used were MAC concealer NC35, MAC Bronzing Powder, Rimmel Brow Pencil, and a nude MAC lipstick, sorry I don't recall of the name. No foundation required. I personally dislike the heavy foundation, and think it should only be used for skin that has blemishes. Well anyway, Enjoy! :)

Thought of The Day
I am such a "quoteaholic" and starting today I will post a quote/thought each day. Here's one I found from a blogger on Google+ and I decided to share it with you guys ;). Have a great and productive day. Don't let the devil steal your joy.
Ugh, missed a sweet deal!
So last night while working a received an email around 11:30 from elf, which stated $275.00 value for $20.00 ... Now of course elf products are very reasonable , but I felt that this was a great offer. The sad thing is it was only for 3 hours :( and I've missed the deal. Hopefully it comes back around again.
Be Decisive! Daily Devotion From Joyce Meyer
Be Decisive!
Indecision is a miserable state to be in and certainly is not a fruit of the simple life. The apostle James said the double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Never making a decision because you're afraid you'll make the wrong one will get you nowhere. How much time do you think we waste when we can't make up our minds?
We often labor over the choices before us when we just need to make a decision and let it stand. This may be a simple example, but think about it: When you stand in front of your closet in the morning looking at all your clothes, just choose something and put it on. Don't go back and forth until you make yourself late for work!
Let me encourage you to start making decisions without second-guessing yourself or worrying about the choices you make. Don't be double-minded or wishy-washy because doubting your decisions after you make them will steal the enjoyment from everything you do. Make the best decisions you can and trust God with the results.
Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me that indecision doesn't really get me anywhere. Help me to let my "yes" be "yes," and my "no" be "no." I know I can't go wrong when I make decisions the best I can and simply trust You with the results.

Happy Hump Day
This is the day that The Lord has made ... Let us rejoice and be glad in it. For some reason Wednesday is starting to be my favorite day. Maybe it's because I get to sleep in a little later, run a few errands and just relax. Yes, it's my off day :) I think we all need a day off in the week to rest. Hope you guys are having a great day so far.

Give Him Your Cares and Follow Your Heart
"To thine own heart be true," the old saying goes. It remains a timely and relevant life lesson that all of us would do well to remember. When we veer off the course that our heart is advising us to follow, we can make our lives very difficult.
Now I'm not talking about selfish desires. I'm talking about pursuing the desires that God puts in your heart. What do you want out of life? What do you believe is God's will for you? Are you pursuing it?
Some people have too many cares and worries that keep them from stepping out and following what's in their heart. They've decided it's out of their reach.
The Bible says we should cast all our cares upon God for He cares for us. Whatever worry you have that is keeping you from following your heart, you need to give it to God and let Him take care of it.
He wants you to follow the desire He's placed in you. Let God take care of your cares and follow your heart. You can trust Him. He cares for you!
Prayer Starter: God, sometimes I don't pursue what You've placed in my heart because of my worries and cares, so today, I give them to You. I know You can handle them, and You want me to be free to follow my heart.

Daily Devotional From Joyce Meyer
Living for God Is All That Matters
It takes boldness to follow God instead of the crowd. Being excessively concerned about what others think leads only to torment. Although all of us enjoy being well thought of, it is not possible to be liked by everyone all the time.
In God's economy, we usually have to be willing to lose something we have in order to gain what we really want in life, and that means we have to stop comparing ourselves to other people's standards and start living for God.
People who are real friends will help you be all God wants you to be. They won't judge you for following God's call. Real friends will encourage you to make God number one in your life.
Even if everyone else walks away from you, He promises to never leave you or forsake you.
Life gets too complicated, confusing and frustrating when we try to please both God and people. You don't have to compare yourself to anyone and worry what people think about you. Live life for God and be free to be who He made you to be.
Prayer Starter: Lord, I make a decision right now live for You alone. Living by other people's standards and expectations for me will get me nowhere. You are the only One who matters, and I will be the person You've made me to be.

Daily Devotional From Joyce Meyer
Getting Rid of Unrealistic Expectations
Unrealistic expectations can quickly steal our peace and joy. We usually visualize a perfect day, with perfect people, and ourselves being perfectly happy in our perfect little world, but we all know that isn't reality. In reality, only God is perfect and the rest of us are under construction.
The devil knows what steals our peace and he sets us up to get upset when our unrealistic expectations fall apart.
After years of letting the devil steal my peace, I finally got it: Life is not perfect, and things are going to happen that we did not plan for and would rather not go through. My new attitude has become, "Oh well, that's life!" I have discovered that if I don't let those things impress me, then they can't depress me.
Everyone has to deal with inconveniences, but we can deal with them and avoid a bad attitude. Remember today that only God is perfect and trust in Him. He can always lead you past disappointing circumstances, strengthening you and helping you to hold on to your peace.
Prayer Starter: God, only You are perfect. I am so glad that even when people and circumstances fail, You never do. Instead of putting my hope in things that will disappoint, I choose a life of peace that only comes from putting my hope in You.

Where Have I Been?
Why, Hello everyone. It's been a long time. We have a lot of catching up to do. Things have really been moving in fast pace lately and I just haven't really had the opportunity or urge to blog. We all know that life can be busy and there are far too many distractions that can throw you off track. I recently took on a 2nd position with another employer and I must say that I now have my schedule full. No problem for me because idle time is 9 times out of 10 the devils workshop and I don't have the time to serve him. Keeping my time filled with work can be an overload, but in order to gain financial freedom I must take each opportunity and stride. I know the benefit of this will be a awesome reward and I am excited to take each step closer. I would like to make a vow that I will continue posting daily devotionals and keep you guys posted on things that I enjoy and encounter each day. Thanks for following my blog and encourage your friends to follow as well. We all have thoughts and ideas to share.
Experience A New Beginning. Daily Devotional From Joyce Meyer
Experience a New Beginning
The Bible is filled with stories about people who experienced new beginnings. Moses became a leader after being a shepherd for 40 years. Paul hated Christ until God renewed him and made him the greatest apostle of all time.
When we receive Jesus as our Savior, it is the ultimate new beginning. We become new creatures with an opportunity to learn a new way of living. But the first step to experiencing that new life is believing that it's available to you.
Ephesians 4:23 says we must be constantly renewed in our minds and attitudes. It's easy to read about great people in the Bible and think that you are nothing like them, but when you start to think that, you need to renew your mind right away.
Choose to think according to God's Word, not how you feel. Receive His love and experience a new beginning. Life will become so much sweeter if you live with an attitude that says "God is completely changing me from the inside out. He's giving me a new beginning and there are greater things ahead."
Prayer Starter: Lord, I renew my mind in You. I know that You have a new beginning and a calling for me just like you did for Moses and Paul. I receive it today, believing that You can bring it to pass.
