Job Hunters ...
Ever applied for so many jobs and never received a call?? Feel like putting in applications is a waste of time?? I thought the same way until recently. I'm already a full time worker, so in my mind I figured it would be hard to find a job while I already have one! Well I must say that isn't the case. When you have a feeling that you are qualified for a position and take all necessary steps towards getting it you will see victory. I recommend when applying for positions online, make a follow up call a day or two days after applying ... and you just may be lucky to get a scheduled interview when you call! I sure did, and I must say it was a blessing! Try it next time, and see the results. :)

Make me beautiful or make me look like a fool!
So ladies... I know that the make-up epidemic has gone full force now, and everyone wants to wear it. Sometimes its over done and sometimes its done just right! What is something that you guys have been noticing a lot of lately??? Lol, it doesnt take long to figure out ... EYEBROW SHADING! I must say that I do my own and it takes a lot of practice to get your brows in the shape that fits for you! Everybody can't have thick brows and everyone should not shade with black. You want your brows to look as natural as possible. Starting today if your friend has over done it, please let her know. Lets stop the madness!

So I Wanna Be A Blogger :)
Hello World,
I have finally put my thoughts into becoming a blogger. How ironic it is that we all have thoughts on things we wanna do in life and ways to become successful at it, but never take the initiative to put those thoughts in motion. I have been talking to my family and friends regarding my thoughts on doing this and everyone thinks its a great idea. I'm 24 years young and I have ventured out to do a lot of things in life, but haven't seen the success of it. Right out of high school I started working and guess what?? I'm still at it ... trying to make a living for myself and on top of that I also attempted to be a full time student (not once, but twice) ... guess the 3rd time will be a charm, lol. The stress of tuition, work, and daily things in life can really weigh down on your goals and can simply make it seem as if there is no way to be successful in corporate America. I will not allow this to stop me from being successful though, sometimes you just gotta start from ground zero and build your way up to the top. I wanna be able to inspire the people around me and bring positivity to this negative world. Also I plan to share things that I have gone through in life, and learn from you guys as well. You will be surprised how you can help one another just by sharing things you've done or gone through. I know that this wont be easy, but with hard work and determination I will conquer! Looking at people like Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, President Obama, etc .... inspire me to be all that I can be. Stay tuned guys there is more to come.

... Coming from where i'm from!
So guys, what is it with people when you tell them you grew up in a small town?? Automatically there assumptions go into full force. As if you don't know anything and never been anywhere. Well I'm here to tell you a lil something about "us" country, small town living people, lol! It ain't about where you come from ... its about where you're going! I was born in Thomaston, Georgia at Upson Lee Medical Center. My mom grew up in Woodbury, so after the birth of me; I lived there as well. Shortly after becoming of age we moved in with my father who lived in Pine Mountain, Georgia. I can only remember being there a small amount of time, before we departed to Atlanta, Georgia. What a time we had there, but I commend my mother for being a single, hardworking parent for me and my sis. I must say that we struggled, but God never left our side. A couple of years later we moved back to Woodbury, and from Woodbury to Manchester, and not long after, right back to WOODBURY we went! This is where it all started, but surely not where it ended. One thing about living in a small town is that you can leave, but always, and I mean ALWAYS, be welcomed back! Everybody knows everybody in Woodbury, but of course not everybody gets along. I don't know what it is, but I'm really starting to think that all of the jealousy and dislike stemmed from generations before, and as the new generation came in we were just brought up to know that this family or that family never liked each other. Such a shame, but no one is trying to CHANGE. Woodbury is very small, one elementary school, one grocery store, one dollar store, and one bank. Growing up there was very easy though, it was like there was never any stress when I was younger. Unlike growing up in the city you really could run outside and play, catch lightning bugs, and just be a kid. Things are really changing there a lot now, but I will always love my city. No matter where I go I will never downgrade that place just for the simple fact that I once lived there and no matter where you go there is no place like home. People can say what they please, but there is a lot of people that come from Woodbury that are doing good in there life! Its like people always look to the negative instead of seeking out the positive! I must say that there is a lot that should change there, but it all starts with the PEOPLE! Things can't and will not change unless we do. I always said if I become a millionaire I'm gonna build up my city. Giving back is necessary because I would love for my cousins and family to be able to do things without having to go elsewhere. I said all of that to say this .. The change starts with you and know that anything is possible. Instead of putting down one another, build someone up. I wanna end this by sharing some facts about Woodbury from the Wikipedia ... all I gotta say is get to know my city :)! Woodbury is one of the oldest towns in Meriwether County. It grew up about ten miles southeast of Greenville in the late 1820s. It was first named Sandtown for the white sand that covered the ground. When the post office opened in 1845, the PO department changed the name to Woodberry. By 1854, the spelling was officially changed to Woodbury. The small town of Woodbury hit a growth spurt in 1887 when the railroad laid its tracks and made its mark. Around the turn of the century Woodbury had tremendous growth with schools, churches, and businesses serving the many new residents.
